Q. How will the Youth Academy Program be affected?

A. The boys program will be called Houston Dynamo Youth - South and the girls program will be called Houston Dash Youth - South. The training schedule will remain consistent to previous years.


Q. Who can play in the Youth Academy?

A. In Fall 2017, players born in the following years: 2011, 2010, 2009 & 2008.

Teams & training groups will be selected based on the ability of the players, allowing each child the opportunity for success in a suitably competitive environment.


Q. Who will coach in the Youth Academy?

A. We will continue to recruit and hire quality, licensed staff. We employ the top youth coaches in the community, and provide them opportunities for career growth and professional development.


Q. Will the uniform change?

A. Yes, effective Fall 2017, our players will be wearing Houston Dynamo (boys) and Houston Dash (girls) attire.


Q. What impact will this have on our fees?

A. Fees will be restructured. Academy fees will be reduced but no longer include the uniform and practice gear. Families will order and pay for the uniforms and practice gear directly through Overall we are anticipating a 2% to 3% increase in fees (consistent with a normal cost of doing business increase), plus or minus the cost of the uniform package.


Q. What leagues will we be playing in?

A. We will operate our own ‘in-house’ play groups, and also have teams compete in the local PDF Houston league.
